On Thursday 17th February, the Literary and Debating Society will be holding its Charity Debate in the Kirwan Theatre at 7pm. Speakers on the night will include representatives from both of this year's nominated College Week charities.

With College week fast approaching Lit n Deb have decided to explore the issue upon which College Week was originally based- the concept of raising and giving money to charity. Most people would agree that being charitable to any organisation is a very worthwhile pursuit. But then the question arises, should we help charities here in Ireland or those doing work abroad?
