July is festival time in Galway and to celebrate that we would like to invite all National School children to take part in an art exhibition which will be held in NUI Galway during the month of July. We are
looking for a picture in any media that you wish that explores ‘Festival Time in Galway’.
As part of the exhibition, judges will select a number of pictures as winners of the Young Artists Competition. These pictures will be made into posters and displayed in Galway City during the July festivals.This competition and exhibition is open to all National School children in Galway.

Use any media on an A4 page to explore the theme "Festival Time in Galway!

These pictures will be made into posters and displayed in Galway City during the July festivals.

Please include your name, your school, home address and contact telephone number on the back of your work.
The name, age and school will be displayed on the winning posters. Please insure that parental consent is verified for this.

Deadline for competition is 22nd of June 2012.

First Prize: €100 plus 4 tickets to one of the following children’s
theatre shows: Truth Fairy, Wish Factor, What’s the Story Nelly & Do you Speak Mermish?

2 Runners-up: €50 plus 2 tickets to one of the aforementioned theatre shows.
The top 40 entries will be made into posters to be displayed in Galway during July.
