NUI Galway Young Fine Gael is an active society on campus. We regularly hold events which feature local councillors, TDs, Senators and MEPs, as well as Fine Gael politicians from across Ireland.
Young Fine Gael (YFG) is the youth wing of the Fine Gael party and always welcomes new members aged between 15 and 35. YFG is the only vehicle for young people to seek political change in this country. As an autonomous youth organisation, it has the advantage of embodying the values of the Fine Gael Party, while maintaining the independence to express views of young people.
We meet regularly to discuss politics and have a bit of craic. We also run campaigns with a view to improving the lives of young people on campus, locally, nationally and internationally.
YFG is an organisation with a network of thousands of members nationwide, and an unrivalled programme of social events, weekends away and nights out. So as well as an opportunity to voice your opinion on the issues that matter to you, you get a packed social life into the bargain!
