Events and Music Soc is a society based around the idea of creating great events for students mainly through Music.

Events and Music soc also allows people to express themselves thought a medium without boudries. Unseen sounds and a jamming session on a regular basis(every Tuesday+Thursday) give people the chance to practice and make new friends. We are also organising singer songwriting and acoustic guitar lessons free of charge for ye.

Witless is our battle of the bands competition giving groups a chance to preform and compete for a great prize of time in a recording studio.

As this is our first year as the Events and Music Soc with it being Music Soc last year- we hope to create new events around college such as a new music competition in February for music artists with their own new music or new takes on already available music. We also hope to have a Mr+Ms NUIG along with making cheap tickets for students for bands that come to Galway such as Two Door Cinema Club, Ellie Goulding, The Coronas, KT Tunstall, DJ Shadow, The Walkmen, Villagers, Mogwai, Darwin Deez and General Fiasco- which is this year alone.
