LateDebates @ No.8 - Arts Forum
Creating a sustainable future for the arts in Galway
Monday 22nd of February, Bar No. 8, 9pm
Speakers:
Maeve Mulrennan - Galway Arts Centre
Fergal McGrath - Town Hall Theatre & Theatre Forum
Noeline Kavanagh - Macnas
Dr. Ros Dixon - NUI Galway
Chair:
Máiréad Ní Chróinín - Moonfish Theatre
The LateDebates @ No.8 are about discussing and debating issues affecting Galway in an informal and relaxed setting. Each debate brings together a panel of speakers from different backgrounds, and invites the audience to pitch in with questions and contributions. This Monday's Arts Forum looks at some of the challenges and opportunities for the arts in Galway - how can we increase public engagement with the arts? should we involve ourselves more in policy and politics? can we increase the sense of community among artists of all artforms? and what do we need to do to sustain the arts in Galway in a time of recession?
The debates are open to all - come along and have your say!
